Originally from Martinique, a French island in the Caribbean, Chef Daniel grew up in a family of restaurateurs. He then trained in classic French cuisine at the Toulouse Hotel School. After graduating, he left France to work in luxury hotel groups in the Caribbean and as a chef for celebrities. His passion for gastronomy also led him to learn sushi techniques under a Japanese Sushi Master.
Chef Daniel's varied experience, combined with his love for eclectic flavors, is reflected in his menus, where he creates memorable culinary experiences by blending influences from around the world. With a warm smile that can be felt even over the phone, Chef Daniel Labonne has been a pillar of the Washington, DC culinary scene for over 20 years.
In recent years, Chef Daniel has managed prestigious restaurants such as those at the German Embassy, the Hay-Adams Hotel, and is currently the exclusive chef at the French Embassy. His impressive career has now led him to also provide high-end catering services for local and international clients in Washington DC and the surrounding areas.
